Ms. Cardini is an Associate Principal with Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE) in Boston, Massachusetts. She manages a variety of projects that include many masonry preservation and repair projects. Ms. Cardini is a Professional Engineer in MA, RI, and CT and a member of the elite WJE difficult access team (DAT). In this role, Ms. Cardini has inspected and accessed various structures throughout the United States, including the Washington Monument and The Gateway Arch using industrial rope access. During her eighteen years with WJE, Ms. Cardini has had the pleasure of leading several comprehensive facade assessments and associated repair projects for notable buildings around the Boston area some of which include the Fairmont Copley Hotel, the Omni Parker House, the Berkeley Building, the former New England Telephone and Telegraph Building, and the Landmark Center Building. Through these opportunities, she has gained experience in historic building materials including brick, concrete, stone, terra cotta, cast iron, and cast stone. Ms. Cardini has also overseen cleaning and coating evaluations of various types of staining and paints on historical buildings in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
