I individually tutored first graders in reading. I took a variety of workshops on literacy, education, and effective teaching. I worked with a teacher and assisted in managing the classroom.

Worked for four years in student eating cooperative, cleaning, cooking, and making decisions on a consensus model. Cleaned and cooked in industrial serv safe kitchen. As head cook, I planned meals and directed a staff of 1-3 other students preparing food for between 80-150 people (depending on which cooperative I was in at the time). Led crews of 4-5 other students in cleaning the kitchen and dining room after meals.
