I am currently working for Future U which is Lancashire’s UniConnect Partnership, funded by the Office for Students and based at the University of Central Lancashire. Through a wide range of outreach events and activities, the project aims to increase progression onto Level Four study in areas where this has historically been lacking and with groups who are underrepresented in Higher Education. My background is in English Literature, and I received my PhD in English (focused on Contemporary Women’s Writing) from Edge Hill University in April 2017. I have also taught English in both Higher and Secondary Education settings.
