Group classes capped at 10 students, monolingual. Planning lessons with a balanced focus on receptive and productive skills, and a lot of emphasis on preparation for Cambridge exams, using the Cambridge YL books, Face2Face, and Pearson’s Gold and Gold Experience. CPD sessions in the school focused one 6 week module on teaching YL, one on teaching exam tasks, and one on teaching grammar and pronunciation in the classroom. Experience teaching with Zoom as we switched to online teaching from March to June with all of our classes; groups, individuals, and young learners, all with great success.

Teaching four 90 minute classes a day to upper intermediate (B2) level students, with 18 students per class, and multilingual groups. Planning lessons that focused on the skills of reading and listening, functional language, and grammar, working from a course book created by OIEG. Lessons focusing more towards the production stage, with heavy emphasis on pronunciation work and error correction. Weekly CPD sessions focusing on subjects such as adapting materials, error correction techniques, and dealing with classes of mixed abilities.
