Bari, Apulia, Italy
Employed for the 2019-2020 academic year; working 29.5 hours a week, between 25-28 teaching hours and 1.5 hours of CPD sessions per week. Teaching a range of levels, and both groups and individual students. Extensive experience with young learners (particularly Starters and Movers, but also 30 hours of individual lessons with a Flyers student), one academic term (twice weekly) with an adult KET group, and another with an adult Upper Intermediate (pre FCE) group. Experience working as a PON teacher (Starters level). Experience teaching individual lessons at the A1, A2 and B1 levels, the B1 individual with a focus on doing the PET young exam. Group classes capped at 10 students, monolingual. Planning lessons with a balanced focus on receptive and productive skills, and a lot of emphasis on preparation for Cambridge exams, using the Cambridge YL books, Face2Face, and Pearson’s Gold and Gold Experience. CPD sessions in the school focused one 6 week module on teaching YL, one on teaching exam tasks, and one on teaching grammar and pronunciation in the classroom. Experience teaching with Zoom as we switched to online teaching from March to June with all of our classes; groups, individuals, and young learners, all with great success.
