My research interests are to explore how to design socio-technical systems which empower people to improve their own health and well-being. My current work examines people with dementia’s use of technology to self-manage their chronic condition, how to improve the accessibility of technology for people with dementia, and advancing methods to examine technology use by people with dementia. I take a generally human-centered design approach, working to ground my design work deeply in situated understanding of people’s experiences.
