Emma Dobson is a first-year student at the MET Professional Academy where she is in the medical strand. She is interested in going to Grand Canyon University to study nursing, specifically neonatal nursing. The interest in studying nursing came from her mom when she told Emma that she wanted to go into that field when her mom was in school. So, Emma saw that as a potential job she might want to pursue later in her life. Once she got to high school there were more opportunities to experience this field. One was child development where she learned about child development and growth. Another was medical science which was more of the basics to the medical strand. Now she is taking this class that will be helpful to experience the real-world working environment, as well as looking if this is the job she will do in the future. In her free time, she works at Black Rock Coffee Bar and spends time with family.
