I assisted an experienced Legal Executive within the contentious probate department. This role involved documenting clients’ case files, completing legal forms using legal software and reviewing cases. My experience of using Microsoft Office applications is excellent. In addition, my duties extended to reviewing case files to assist with audit compliance, drafting witness statements and legal letters.

During my final year I gained a place on the Innocence Project. This involved working in a small group on a real alleged miscarriage of justice. Under the supervision of a qualified practitioner, I gained many legal skills including interviewing, letter writing and taking the minutes of firm meetings. One of the key roles involved carrying out extensive research around the case and making sure the client was kept up to date at all times.
