Since joining DRS, I have successfully developed, implemented and embedded a Business Continuity Management System into the company's administration process that has been certified by LRQA to BS25999. This involved creating a risk management framework, completing a business impact analysis, writing an Incident Management Plan, creating templates for departmental documentation and plans, exercising the plans, induction training, and awareness training and conducting internal audits on all aspects of the system. My other responsibilities include the on-going maintenance and continued certification of the Management Systems to their relevant standards - ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 14001.

This involved setting up a new business area, for all business continuity matters and the management of 2 staff members. This included completing a Business Impact Analysis (BIA), creating a Business Continuity Plan, induction presentation for staff, maintaining the plan and conducting exercises to test the plan. I also created new initiatives to promote BC awareness. I also assisted the Service Level Manager with data analysis and the writing of Service Level Agreements.

I was part of team that was responsible for the operation of the Supply Central Computer System (SCCS) and for the provision of support to the Maintenance Data System (MDS) and other computer systems located in the computer room as required.

My role in the Operations Section, was to work as part of team that provided Management Information Statistics, support to the computer room personnel and to ensure adequate supplies for stationery / IT consumables for the whole of the LCC. I also prepared and submitted paramatised enquiries to the Genesys process and checked/dispatched the outputs produced. This is a program, which allowed me to extract data off the Central System Database for any customer that required it. I dealt with telephone queries on a daily basis from external customers, with whom I built a very good relationship. I was also responsible for one member of the team who was an Administrative Assistant.

My role in Service Management was to provide support to the LCC Quality Management System (QMS). Which included logging and monitoring actions produced during internal and external audits, conduct internal audits, act as deputy LCC Quality Coordinator and ensure that all LCC Staff Instructions and QMS Documentation was controlled, updated and accessible to all staff. I was also tasked with producing minutes for all Quality checkpoint meetings.
