After working as a Broadcast Journalist for Notts TV, I took on an interim role as its Online Editor, where I sourced and created online news articles, created video content and took photos for the website, trained numerous local students to write and develop news stories, and promoted our online articles via social media.

Around my university degree I had the opportunity to work with a national gym franchise called Gymophobics. Responsibilities included:• Main point of contact for all media enquires• Setting up and managing its main social media accounts, and managing website content• Helping create a monthly gym magazine• Work on creating a workout DVD for members• Delivering paid for advertising across multiple platforms

I enjoyed proactively taking on work experience at as many organisations and outlets as possible whilst studying, one of these was with BBC East Midlands Today. In which time I supported with creating graphics, filming and working in their gallery during live bulletins.

As I've always had a passion for writing, during my time at university I took the opportunity to write regular student advice columns and film reviews for students to enjoy.

‌To keep up my writing I took on an interim, part time role around my studies writing reviews of famous and upcoming artists/ bands for the Songkick website.

‌I enjoyed joining a number of societies during my time at university, one of those was Trent TV. In my second year I was promoted to Head of Marketing, which involved recruiting new students to help produce content for the channel, creating targeted videos for a student audience, running their social media accounts, including sport, news and entertainment, presenting some of their shows and helping to edit/ film for the programme and taking part in a number of welcome week campaigns. In my time there I also won the Best Marketing Award at the National Student Television Awards and Best Behind the Scenes Contributor for my work off screen.

At Stafford Radio I worked on making connections with local businesses for promotion and funding, researching potential guests for the show and promoting work experience opportunities.
