All three projects were awarded preferred bidder status, and we are currently working towards financial close.

My role entailed planning, executing, and reporting on audits of financial statements. I have a working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), International Standards on Auditing (“ISA”) and major laws and regulations applicable to South African businesses. See experience obtained:- assisting with the planning of audits to understand the entity, assessment of Account Balances, Class of Transactions and Disclosures to identify audit risk.- determine an appropriate audit approach to test quantitative or qualitative material account balances and classes of transactions.- communicate on a regular basis with the financial manager and executive directors of the client to understand changes in the entity and complex areas which involve judgement and uncertainty. Further, be a representative of the audit team to communicate the progress of the audit, any delays and outstanding documentation.- allocation of audit work and monitoring of team progress based on the level of experience and involvement of specialists where required.- perform coaching on a daily basis to ensure that team members complete their tasks and acted as the auditor in charge on projects to ensure audit milestones and deadlines were met in a timely manner.- Assisted with the testing of significant risk areas such as Revenue recognition ensuring the correct application of IFRS 15, implementation of new standards such as IFRS 16 Leases, allowance for credit losses in line with IFRS 9, journal entry testing and balances that contain judgement or estimation.

Through daily interactions with my host family and community, I was able to advance my German language skills to the B1 level.
