As a elementary school teacher, my job duties and responsibilities are vast and varied. I am responsible for creating lesson plans that align with the school curriculum and standards, as well as assessing and tracking student progress. I will manage my classroom, maintain discipline and order, and create a positive learning environment. I will also be responsible for providing individual support and assistance to students who need it, communicating with parents, and participating in professional development opportunities. As an employee at RISE, an after school program, my job duties and responsibilities included working with school-age children to provide a safe and engaging environment for learning and recreation. I was responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development. This includes supervising indoor and outdoor play, leading arts and crafts projects, facilitating group games and sports, and assisting with homework and academic enrichment activities. I was also be responsible for maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere, fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, and communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
