I have been with the Disabilities Trust for 9 years now and in 2013 was promoted to an Assistant Manager which forms part of the Management Team. In this role I ensure that the care and support offered to each Service User is of the highest quality, meeting individual’s needs sensitively and striving to enable them to meet their potential. I on a daily basis ensure that the outcomes within the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety are met thus establishing compliance to the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Care Quality Commission Regulations 2009. I manage currently a multidisciplinary workforce ensuring the Trust’s policies/procedures and values are adhered to with due consideration to the regulations and outcomes surrounding a registered managers responsibility. I support the staff team with regards to Clinical Governance, participate in meetings and ensure that all actions are completed within a specific time frame. I am very much a hands on manager and offer support and guidance, influencing others attitudes and practices. I do have experience within managing and investigating disciplinary proceedings, reporting Safeguarding Incidents and completing documentation to the correct standard that is required in line with Care Quality Commission. Within my role, i support the Service with an effective 2 weekly staff rota ensuring that contractual requirements are met, as part of the rota I have on call responsibilities. I ensure that every staff member receives a 6 weekly supervision and yearly personal development plans to promote further learning. I will also identify using our training matrix the needs of staff and organising new staff members to have a thorough induction, emphasising the aims, value base and high performance standards expected.

I was able to develop my office skills, team build and enhance my people skills. I was the Appointed First Aider on site.

This included booking in and out drivers, duty filing, working within a busy environment and dealing with telephone customer support.
