Growing up, I was unsure of what I wanted to be or do as a career, and it wasn't until I was 16 years old that Business sparked my interest. I worked for the first time at the Dallas Market Center for RoadRunners, a leading wholesale company and industry brand. I was asked to sell for one company in the showroom that sold different salts and dip mixes. I interacted with the company's owner and learned about the brand's value proposition and what the company was all about. I was nervous about telling potential customers about this product, but I realized I was in my element the first time I sold a spinner display. I've always been passionate about building customer relationships, so I found Marketing intriguing. I love interacting with customers, understanding their unique needs, and delivering their required solutions.Furthermore, I have many years of experience working as a temporary sales associate in the Dallas Market Center for RoadRunners LLC for both winter and summer wholesale gift shows. I acquired valuable knowledge and experience in different business areas during my time there. Examples include the IT side, where I trained incoming temps on how to use business software and enter data into the system in preparation for the show. Additionally, I exercised my creativity by assisting in the planning and design execution of the showroom. Without question, my most significant areas of focus in this job were sales, customer support, and relations.This opportunity I have been so fortunate to be a part of has opened doors for me in my career path. Additionally, this past summer, I had the great opportunity to work as a Showroom Manager Assistant Intern for RoadRunners LLC in Las Vegas, Nevada. This internship strengthened my customer service, sales, and personal relations skills. I gained valuable insight into the wholesale gift industry through this unique opportunity and learned how to use my Clifton Strengths to my advantage!Through these opportunities, I have acquired a number of different skills that are integral to a successful business. These skills include customer service, teamwork, sales, marketing, and design. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, focusing on Advertising Strategy. I am eager to pursue career opportunities in marketing, as I will be graduating in December 2024. I'm excited about the opportunity to start working and putting into action all the valuable knowledge and skills I've gained from Mays Business School during my time there. I can't wait to use my knowledge in a natural work environment.
