Throughout my McDonalds career I have worked and managed in nine restaurants across South Yorkshire and Lincoln. As a result, I was promoted to First Assistant Manager in December 2017. McDonalds has allowed me to build and develop strong relationships with my employers, colleagues and customers. It has provided me with a variety of qualifications and opportunities to continue to learn and grow professionally. Within my restaurant I look after 4 main systems: Service- looking to build top line sales through competitions, incentives and daily targets; People- I lead recruitment in my restaurant, complete regular file checks, ensure all 1-1 performance reviews are completed in a timely manner and to a great standard, I enforce formal discipline including meetings and home contact; Training- ensuring my work force has the correct tools, knowledge and resources to do the best job possible; and Food Safety - It's my role to oversee and manage the Food Safety system, ensuring we provide a safe environment for food handling and service. Additionally, my role as First Assistant sees me support the Business Manager in the overall running of the business and it's my role to help oversee the business in their absence, including annual leave cover.
