Graduate scheme consisting of three 8-month assignments at various departments at AstraZeneca. The scheme also offered substantial training in soft skills, such as project management, leadership trainings and stakeholder management.Assignment 1:Developed early phase formulations within Pharmaceutical Sciences, and assessed their ability to transfect cells. The placement offered insight in formulation optimization as well as training in cell culturing, with subsequent analysis using high content imaging and image analysis.Assignment 2:Looked at in-vitro-in-vivo correlation of various formulations at Global Product Development. Developed knowledge in dissolution testing using various different instruments, as well as PBPK modelling using Gastro+.Assignment 3:Improved models for the micronisation process at Inhalation Product Development.

Method development of production of cryogels suitable for injections. Several routes were investigated, with a new production protocol being developed. Some side proects included cell culturing as well as liposome preparation.

Summer work in between spring and autumn semester of university. The work included the production of agar plates, various buffers and other solutions used for diagnostic work and research mainly within the hospital. The work was for most part sterile and required independent work. Strict deadlines for when work had to be complete forced me to even further develop my time management skills.
