CurrentExperienced Hair & Media Make-Up ArtistI have been working in the industry for over 25 years as a Media Hair and Make-Up Artist gaining lots of experience of working on the job in different environments.I have been really passionate about makeup from a young age. I work as a freelance Makeup Artist in the Industry and I have completed numerous courses over the years to perfect my skills to keep up to date with changes. Having trained as a Media Makeup Artist initially, I think it's important to be able to complete a variety of styles and techniques and show versatility in all makeup areas. During my time in the industry, I have run my own business. During which I have been involved in:- Makeovers for Occasions- Bridal parties – Hair and Make-Up Services- Facepainting at Parties- Facepainting at Organisations & Charities for Events in the Community - Backstage Cast Make-Up Artist Amateur Dramatics Society- Halloween / Special Effects Makeovers I have built up strong relationships with clients and companies within the local area and it’s lovely when you are asked to return. I was nominated for an industry recognised Make-Up award for the prosthetics work I did on character in a Theatre Production which I am extremely proud of. I also won an award for Best Supporting Backstage Female of the Year for the Theatre company I work at for my services backstage in the design of Hair, Makeup and Wigs. I currently work at the Theatre making up the cast of Actors for shows, the concept of designing how a Character looks to fit the story being told fascinates me. In particular with theatre, using make-up to change the appearance of the Character to reflect real life and that look being changed throughout is something that really interests me. In particular I do enjoy special effects and injury make-up and have a real passion for make-up.
