Part of a new team designed to promote and improve the housing stability of Maine residents through supportive services and rental assistance. Assisted clients with stabilizing their current housing and/or securing safer, more stable, and more affordable housing. I specifically work to ensure targeted outreach and assistance to households disproportionately impacted by housing instability based on race, ethnicity, gender, income, age, and region.

Worked directly with clients to complete central intake applications and provide support for tenants and landlords accessing emergency rent relief through Maine State Housing Authority. The ERA Program provides rental and utility relief payments to individuals and families who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

I assisted with data entry, maintenance of donor databases, and the organization of financial information. I also researched donor prospects and contacted potential or proven donors by phone. I enjoyed seeing the power of small-dollar donations to affect impactful change.

I worked independently on concurrent projects related to donation intake, collections organization, and records maintenance. I was selected by my supervisors to independently research, curate, and execute Bowdoin College’s Reunion Weekend exhibitions using archival material and original primary source research. I enjoyed supporting patrons by answering questions, conducting archival and database research, and compiling bibliographies.

As the Department’s first Oral History Intern, I coordinated and conducted in-person interviews with Bowdoin alumni during the College’s Alumni Oral History Project. I saw the project through from start (interviewee recruitment and interviews) to finish (content publication on Digital Commons) and was responsible for both front-facing and backend logistics. I developed original data/inventory workflows and researched, designed, and generated a transcription style-guide according to Chicago Manual of Style (17th. ed.) guidelines.
