My current position is with Code Institute as a Learning Facilitator. After a decade of teaching science (specialising in Chemistry and Physics), I transitioned to a career in tech by studying for a diploma in Full Stack Development. My journey in education included a leadership role as KS3 Science Lead, where I honed skills in curriculum development, mentoring, and team collaboration.With a strong foundation in science from my undergraduate degree and a Masters in Education, focusing on Gender in Science Education, I bring a unique perspective to problem-solving and a passion for equity in STEM fields.Beyond my professional pursuits, I have a deep passion for theatre and public speaking, finding joy in presenting, performing, and organising social events. My love for collaboration and creativity has seamlessly carried over to my tech journey, where I’ve participated in hackathons with Code Institute. These events challenge me to think critically and creatively, while also providing an opportunity to sharpen my skills in a fun, team-driven environment. A highlight was presenting at a hybrid hackathon at Google in London, an experience that reinforced my excitement for tech and public engagement.
