As part of my university studies, I completed a 60 hour placement at the Involve Psychology clinic. During this time, I developed a facilitator manual and children's workbook for a child safety workshop, scored psychometric assessments, wrote blog posts and social media posts. I also had the opportunity to observe clients in session and observe client intake. Finally, I participated in facilitating the Secret Agent Society workshop where children aged 9-13 with ASD and/or ADHD learn about their emotions and social skills.

At St. John's Home for Men, I interacted with men who had a mental illness and/ or a disability. I developed relationships with the residents to provide social support in their home at St. John's Home for Men. Residents of aged care facilities are not always able to engage and enjoy the human connection that each of us want and need. Being part of this program allowed the residents to have a social connection, and developed my understanding of the need for human connection in aged care.

I was trained and participated as a reflecting teams member in counselling sessions with individuals. Character Care also ran leadership days for school children which I participated in as an activity facilitator.
