I am a motivated individual driven by a passion for social justice, particularly toward addressing power and social inequalities. Having completed my Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (Honours) program at the University of Queensland in 2024, I am excited to continue my charge to make significant progress in some of our worlds largest policy issues. My university program has taught me unique, multidisciplinary methods to problem solving, and I have found this knowledge to be applicable and relevant to the many tasks I engage in. For example, I have been able to use these skills in my service as student representative on the Academic Misconduct Appeals Board, ensuring ethical decisions amongst the UQ student body.I am currently working as the Refugee Settlement Officer at Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS), an international not-for-profit, coordinating the agency’s engagement in the new and government-sponsored Community Refugee Integration and Settlement Pilot (CRISP). This is a new engagement space for our agency, which I have the privilege to scope and lead. Before this role, I served as a humanitarian programming intern and contributed to global outreach and justice initiatives, focusing on our humanitarian aid and development projects in our in-country program locations. I have experience in MEL, inter-agency submissions, gender justice project design and knowledge sharing initiatives.Seeking to make a difference in this world, I am eager to connect with like-minded individuals and explore impactful opportunities. I am seeking graduate opportunities in the not-for-profit or governmental sectors, specifically in humanitarian and policy consultancy.
