My role as a Forest School Leader in a SEND school requires me to liaise with different agencies/personnel to develop unique programmes to suit their physical and educational needs. This role involves risk assessing the site and activities in order for pupils to access more dangerous activities such as campfires and tool use. As an educator there are strict policies to adhere to and stringent recording procedures, staff are required to work with families to gain the best outcome for the pupils, this often involves complex communications.
