As a graduate research assistant in the Sustainable Innovative Solutions (SIS) Lab, I worked with peers and faculty on the projects relating to sustainability (i.e., teams, solar energy systems, electric vehicles, and voting systems). I primarily worked on the URI VOTES project and was responsible for managing a group of undergraduate students and leading.

I volunteered to collect water biweekly from local ponds and rivers. After collection, the samples were tested for dissolved oxygen levels and nutrient levels. The results were then added to a statewide database and used to monitor the health of Rhode Island watersheds.
