At Centre Wildlife Care I have learned about the proper care, common diseases, and treatment for Pennsylvania wildlife. Centre Wildlife Care provides me an opportunity to work with animal ambassadors, research diseases impacting wildlife, assist in rehabilitation of wildlife, and help facilitate fundraising activities for the nonprofit.

At the Lehigh Valley Zoo, I worked as a Conservation Education Intern to create memorable experiences for guests. Throughout my internship I worked with animal ambassadors to teach conservation messaging and promote support of conservation programs. As an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Alexander Hristov's lab at Penn State, I assisted with research on the effect of different diets in dairy cattle. Throughout my experience, I collected fluid samples such as urine, blood, and rumen fluid in order to analyze how the nutrients in feed were being utilized. I was also responsible for compiling published research and performing various laboratory tests on fluid and feed samples.

Penn State AURORA backpacking trip leader responsible for the health and safety of incoming freshmen at Penn State University over a seven day backpacking trip. Taught students proper backcountry techniques in survival and hygiene. Prepared students for the transition to college and taught intellectual, emotional, and physical self-care techniques.
