I work as an IAPT Counsellor delivering brief time oriented therapy to clients who self refer to Trent PTS. I hold my own caseload of clients who may have a variety of mental health presentations including depression, anxiety and early trauma or emotional and relational difficulties. I have also started to deliver Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) within the service. I lead the Nottingham Recovery Network pathway for the service, working with clients who may also be presenting with substance misuse or addiction. I also work as one of the lead practitioners on the TOPAZ pathway working with clients referred to the service following sexual assault. Additionally I am actively involved in a working group developing and delivering internal CPD to other therapists and clinicians with Trent PTS.

Working as an NHS Staff Counsellor primarily based within an acute hospital setting. I held a caseload of clients who were all current NHS Staff who presented with a variety of mental health and emotional difficulties. This included bereavement, work related stress, vicarious trauma, depression or anxiety. Additionally I represented the service at a number of NHS Trust wide events and working groups. Promoting the importance of mental health within the workplace and workforce and ensuring Staff Counselling was open access to all employees.

Employed in the Student Wellbeing service, working with a caseload of students on a 1:1 basis delivering tailored interventions for students presenting with EBD and relationship difficulties and diagnosed mental health conditions around their mental health and wellbeing, alongside their academic work.Involvement in promoting the wider remit of mental health and awareness to staff within the University and the wider student population through involvement in promotional activities and training sessions.Developed and delivered training sessions around working with people presenting with Addiction and Substance Misuse difficulties and also training around Personality Disorder Awareness. Working as a Criminal Justice based Drug and Alcohol worker, within Police Custody Suites, Probation Offices and Community settings. I provided harm reduction focused advice and structured psychosocial interventions within Police Cells around Drug and Alcohol issues and support clients in all stages of the recovery process.
