Infrastructure Services is the largest operating unit within Skanska UK PLC, with circa 1300 staff & yearly revenue of approximately £300m, & is made up of 4 sectors: Highways, Rail, Street Lighting & Projects. Leading a team of BIM Champions who were based across the business, Emma was an ambassador for BIM & digital engineering, keeping abreast of industry developments & new technologies & providing corporate & technical training. She has worked closely with clients to define information requirements & has helped develop contract specific BIM strategies & execution plans that encompass both delivery & operational phases. She has facilitated supply chain workshops to raise awareness & held project kick-off meetings, to aid culture change & ensure buy-in from the whole project team.Additionally, Emma formed part of the central Skanska BIM Working Group, where she worked closely with colleagues across Skanska to develop central strategies & share knowledge & best practice. She also regularly assisted with PQQ & tender submissions for all BIM related matters within Infrastructure Services.

I worked in the Architectural Division of a multi-disciplinary professional design team, alongside Geotechnical, Temporary Works, Structural and Civil Engineering Divisions. The Architectural Division provides services and support to the regional offices and construction sites, including full architectural design services, architectural visualisation and 3D modelling services,architectural visualisation, 4D construction sequencing and clash prevention. Notable technical projects included the complex and heavily serviced Nissan Battery Plant which included ultra-low humidity dry room and clean room enclosures, and The Snow Centre real snow indoor ski facility in Hemel Hempstead.
