Beginning her collegiate career at Kennesaw State University in 2014, Emma Rice received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Professional Writing. Leadership positions in her college career include: Alpha Omicron Pi, Phi Eta Sigma Honors Society, Order of Omega, Who’s Who Among Students, and French Club. She has held leadership positions, such as Vice President of Finance, Asst. Vice President of Membership Recruitment, and Chapter President, experiences she is able to contribute to her professional career. Ranging in wide varieties, her skills are practiced and refined. She prides herself in her organizational skills, ability to delegate, attention to detail, professionalism, competence of communication and public speaking, as well as writing proficiency. Contribution to organizations and other companies have highlighted her leadership and teamwork. These skills propose her future success in the professional world of publishing. Her past experience as an Editorial Intern at Atlanta Magazine represents her passion and desire to undertake a career in publishing as an editor. This internship allowed her to explore the fields of writing articles, researching content, communicating visions, editing texts, along with proofreading manuscripts, all of these taking part of her career interests. She had the honor of being published in two magazines on behalf of her position’s work at Atlanta Magazine. This has inspired her to work more with publications, such as, but not limited to, books. Not only has she been able to work in a professional setting similar to the career path she is seeking, but she has also developed and generated her own pieces that she hopes to one day have published. Her creative writing derived from her love for literature as a child and have since inspired stories. As a storyteller, she would love to someday make an impact by advising and having a hands-on influence with authors, in hopes to help them tell their stories.
