I am a freelance illustrator, looking to communicate ideas through the power of a strong image. There is nothing like a good image that sticks with a viewer long after they have stopped looking at it. I specialize in editorial, children's book, and mural illustration. My skills include:-the ability to work with clients to produce an image for their target audience-agreeing upon a brief and contract with a client-seeking client approval through rough visuals -the ability to come up with fresh completed visuals-knowledge of Abobe Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign

I have spent some time working under Boston area mural artist Gregg Bernstein, who has over 20 years of experience in the field. He is a fountain of knowledge on the topic of creating and implementing murals. He worked for the city of Boston for many years working with high school students to bring art to the community, and we have done some projects where we work with high schoolers and essentially design what the mural is going to look like, then supervise and delegate.He is now a freelance mural artist, so he doesn't always have to work with high schoolers anymore. We have implemented projects in Hyde Park, MA and Roxbury in Boston where it is the two of us working. It is during these projects that I have been able to really learn the craft. Through working with Bernstein, I have learned the ins and outs of the field; how to design, prep, and paint an exterior wall with competence so it can last for as long as possible; how to use equipment; how to work with children on a project; how to manage expenses and create a contract.Working as an assistant on this has been such a fulfilling and challenging job. I have loved every minute.

I spent some time creating rubber molds around Thompson's sculptures so they could later be cast in resin. Through this experience, I learned the intense process of creating rubber molds and the many steps it takes to get to the final product. I am now proficient in casting molds and knowledgable on the entire process. Good stuff!
