Thrown out of the Royal Navy in 1993 for being gay, I took the UK to the European Court of Human Rights to challenge the decision and helped change the UK law in 2000 to allow gay people to serve in the military. My career path has therefore been unplanned and opportunity based, currently working for the Global Privacy Office of RX running programmes to support the privacy principles of our business and our mission as a trusted custodian of people’s personal data.I use my story to inspire others to stand up as role models, allies, and to show one person can make a difference.Contact me if you'd be interested in me speaking for you.
