I am a mature, first-generation student studying English & Comparative Literature at UoL. Before studying, I had over 10 years of work experience in many sectors: Optics, Administration, Education and Hospitality, and as such, I have accrued a plethora of skills, such as efficient organisation, effective communication, and working within a team under high-pressure situations. While studying, I have aimed to develop my skills further by becoming an Arts Editor and Content writer for The Gryphon Newspaper, holding the Course Representative role for my cohort for 3 consecutive years, and becoming actively involved in society and volunteering opportunities. These roles include responsibilities such as being Vice-President for Upreach: Social Mobility Society, and being both a Learning Champion and Community Champion at UOL. I have furthered my career development and knowledge by becoming an EDIP Intern at Civil Service Fast Stream 2020, an upReach Associate and a Linkedin Student Champion.I am particularly interested in furthering my knowledge in the Public Sector, Charitable and Governmental areas. I am actively seeking opportunities for a university placement year for the 21-22 academic year in these industries (however, I am open to exploring other options/industries).
