Working as part of the Lord Mayor’s Office team, I provided high level strategic, policy, communications and administrative support and advice to the Lord Mayor and Deputy Lord Mayor. My policy portfolio areas were community and the environment.

The major focus of my role was managing the ACCC’s private sector engagement for the Scamwatch area of the agency. This involved developing ongoing relationships with banks, telecommunications providers and major online platforms to share intelligence and collaborate on initiatives that will raised awareness of and/or disrupted scam activity in Australia. In this role I achieved significant growth in meaningful engagement with the private sector and implemented a number of initiatives to improve the provision of scams intelligence to business. I was also responsible for the project management and delivery of the annual ‘Targeting Scams’ report. This is considered by many to be Australia's flagship annual scams publication. Development of this report involved managing a team of data analysts and distilling complex analysis into key trends in scam activity which could be easily digested by consumers, businesses, the media and researchers. I was also responsible for developing the ACCC's scams strategy and working closely alongside the Scamwatch Director and Deputy Chair of the ACCC to ensure they were briefed on relevant developments, risks and opportunities as related to the delivery of the teams work under this strategy. Working as a recruitment consultant, this role involved both existing client account management and sourcing of candidates. On the client side I was responsible for liaising with businesses to determine their recruitment requirements and assessing how best we could fulfil these. I was also responsible for researching, sourcing and interviewing candidates for senior engineering roles across the UK and drafting job advertisements.

After graduating from university I moved to Costa Rica for a year to teach English as a second language. I created, planned and organised innovative, communication centered English language lessons for groups of higher education students, ranging from beginner to Cambridge FCE level.
