From the logo to the products, Maid In China has been inspired by wordplay, unusual ideas and clever design.Founded in 2016, it develops high quality products that are always absolutely unique.The ‘Circus Collection’ combines the tradition of afternoon tea with all the fun of the fun-fair. From a tea set that becomes a moving merry-go-round, to a toast rack disguised as a travelling tiger: ordinary items come to life in fine bone china and luxe gold aesthetic.Chasing Threads is a collection of unique, stylish and functional travel accessories made from perforated leather that can be stitched and personalised. The ‘Stitch Your Way’ Series was inspired by a love of travel and life-long obsession with crafting and customisation. Chasing Threads is the sub-band of design company Maid In China Ltd

Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of all areas of the brand and reporting potential areas of improvement. Using these findings to initiate change in various areas.Designing and implementing creative marketing initiatives to improve brand awareness and inject some excitement to traditional marketing techniques. Designing unique ways to introduce new products, send special discounts, create bespoke client gifts and working with the sales team to maintain regular contact.Writing informative copy to convey each product’s USP, in keeping with the humour and heritage of the brand. Witty tag- lines on demand!Writing press releases, responding to editorial enquiries and evaluating marketing opportunities. Finding ways to increase brand presence without any marketing budget, including social media.Planning, creating and scheduling eblasts, sent to Suck’s database of 45,000 retail and wholesale customers.Designing product, Cross Stitch Map, from initial concept to final release- sourcing and negotiating with multiple new suppliers in the Far East, managing the product to meet the trade show deadline and overseeing QC report.

Managing and increasing Suck’s international presence. Responsible for opening new distribution channels in 8 countries and focusing on how our presence can be expanded worldwide.Regular independent international trips, including USA, Europe, South Africa, Japan, to visit distributors, set up and attend trade shows. Presenting the brand and full product range to a mix of customers, from multinational retailers to independent design shops.Researching the best possible way products can be merchandised and initiating negotiations on bespoke display units for customers.Calculating and managing customer discounts, monitoring Suck’s margin for each account.Selling our products on live television for an hour show on the Ideal Shopping Channel Create and Craft TV.
