I am currently a Junior at John Paul the Great Catholic University majoring in Communications Media with a Double Emphasis in Acting and Screenwriting. Acting brings us also back to our humanity and what we suppress in ourselves. It reminds us that even though we grow into adults, we never leave being a child; and when we act, we play. At JPII, I co-starred in a senior acting practicum, 'The Springs of Silence', as four characters and I was honored to be in a three day show of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' as Lady Capulet for our college play at a theater. I am currently in our school's musical of 'Beauty and the Beast' as a Silly Girl and I have also played multiple characters in scenes from different plays throughout my acting classes which include:Acting I: FoundationsActing II: Action and TextActing III: Character Building and DevelopmentScreen ActingScene StudyPlaying Shakespeare Movement for the ActorEver since I was a child, my mind has had a vivid imagination. I love stories that take us to whole new worlds and bring adventure to us. Stories bring us back to our humanity, our senses, our morality, our beauty, and our strengths and weaknesses. I want to be a part of that. Before attending university, I wrote two screenplays and now I am on my third draft of a screenplay that I wrote for a class and that has been on my heart since 2021. I am very excited for the next drafts to come and cannot wait to get it on the big screen. I have developed many skills from my screenwriting classes which include:Story, Genre, and StructureWriting and Pitching a ScriptFundamentals of Story Development Writing for the Screen I&IIOutside my creative space, I enjoy swing dancing, hiking, swimming, running, watching movies, and having a good time with friends.
