Emma Simmons has private equity, investment and real estate experience. She joined the UK private equity industry at inception in 1995 and went on to oversee the asset management of Deutsche Bank’s European real estate private equity portfolio, totalling €17bn across a range of commercial and residential assets, including real estate-focused operating businesses such as Regus, the serviced office group, where she was an investor representative as it went public. She was additionally the Country Head for the real estate funds of Deutsche Bank in the Netherlands and Nordics regions and sat on c50 real estate boards as a Deutsche investor representative, as well as undertaking numerous structured financings and securitisations in the real estate sector. Additionally, she was primarily responsible for securing the third party institutional equity capital for the development of the two Chinese Villages for Value Retail, the operator of 11 luxury shopping villages across Europe and China, and held responsibility for financial planning, budgeting and analysis for its European business.Emma also has a legal skillset. Prior to her private equity and banking career she was the sole in-house lawyer for Snappy Snaps and worked at Wilde Sapte solicitors in their real estate finance group, acting for major lenders and commercial property companies.
