Lead Officer - Cumbria Innovative Flood Resilience Programme
CurrentLead Officer working with a team of specialists responsible for advising on natural flood management and community resilience, investigating and delivering natural flood management within Cumbria. Manage funding of £6.6m over the duration of the programme. Manage and direct the flow of a wide variety of programme delivery information including financial data, programme milestones, approvals and risks. Work within the relevant professional practice/standards/guidance as defined by a framework of council best practice and procedures, as well as legislative guidelines with the ability to tackle issues and develop innovative solutions.Support the delivery of the project within a programme of activity and within budget so as to contribute to the long-term strategy of project delivery within the team. Frequently working with a number of internal or external stakeholders to establish and agree project scopes and outputs.Co-ordinate programme and project delivery across all stages of the life-cycle. Identifying issues and risks and seeking solutions to these.Identify the services and work that must be procured to complete projects. Commissioning of works with consultants and contractors. Co-ordinate consultants and contractors to ensure that work awarded is carried out in a timely fashion.
