As the demand for energy increases across the globe, the need for reliable electric power systems is vital. Starting my career at a local utility, I gained direct knowledge of electrical protection technology that is used to quickly get systems back up and running. I help design electrical systems for renewable energy and other projects as part of the end-to-end solutions delivered by Mead & Hunt’s full-service engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) team, as well as our in-house fabrication group.I plan and sequence the electrical components that systems need to efficiently provide power and information from start to finish. This includes updating drawings, working with vendor diagrams, contacting vendors and clients to relay changes and updates to project deliverables. On biogas projects, I connect the electrical components from manure processing to pipeline injection, which includes numerous transmitters and metering devices, so they communicate with the entire system. With power, safety is a priority, as well as meeting national and state codes. Please connect with me to talk electrical system integration: emma.stanavich@meadhunt.com
