-Handle recruiting, orientation, onboarding, and offboarding for employees.-Lead attendance platform rollout in UKG, manage attendance for 200+ employees, maintain corrective action records, and report Attendance Point data to UAW weekly.-Act as a primary resource for employee and supervisor support, providing timely guidance and training.-Manage benefit enrollment, leave requests, unemployment claims, and grievances, ensuring policy and contract compliance.-Investigate any reports of harassment or intimidation.-Manage payroll and timekeeping systems for accurate employee compensation.-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive employee engagement initiatives, improving workplace culture.-Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations, mitigating risks associated with HR practices.-Collaborate with leadership to develop strategy to decrease turnover & improve retention.-Create coaching material & regularly conduct supervisor training.-Conduct pre employment background checks and drug screens.

During my sophomore year, I worked part-time waitressing while being a full time student.

Worked part-time for a family friends gardening business during the covid-19 lockdown. We were able to work outside and while staying socially distant from the clients, given it was during a shutdown. We did many landscaping activities including laying down mulch, planting flowers, weeding, pulling out trees, etc. I communicated back and forth with all the clients and ensured that our crew was meeting their expectations. If expectations were not met, I spent my weekend making sure the job got done properly. This opportunity allowed me to work throughout the shutdown and help out a family friend who was very short staffed. I was able to help out the community when thousands of businesses were suffering from shutdown of all non essential business.

Edible Arrangements was deemed essential while thousands of business were not. There was a huge spike in the number of orders as many Michigan locations chose to keep their doors closed. To this day, I still return for all major holidays to help and manage a large volume of the orders. The owner will typically separate the orders by type (box or an arrangement), he will then focus on the arrangements and pass all the orders of boxes to me. At any given time, I am in charge of making sure 200+ orders are being fulfilled. I do this by managing all the employees duties while also completing orders on a specific time frame based off our delivery routes.
