I joined Worldwide Recruitment Solutions (WRS) as a Talent Sourcing and Development Consultant, to be part of our exciting plans for expansion in 2016. I worked as a Recruitment Consultant in the private practice and in-house markets. For private practice law firms, I offered a consultancy service and provided interim recruitment solutions which met each firm's specific needs and requirements. I operated across the UK and counted top tier firms, Legal 500 firms and well respected regional practices amongst my clients. In addition, I worked in the West Midlands and North West in-house markets where I assisted PLCs and FTSE250 businesses, as well SMEs and private companies, with their permanent legal recruitment needs. From October 2013-2014, I worked as a Resourcer in the interim team, specialising in temporary legal recruitment solutions for the in-house and private practice markets. I also wrote the communication and marketing material for the team, ranging from marketing correspondence to web adverts.

I worked on the Graduate Training Scheme in the Salford branch and learnt about running a business. My role mainly involved customer service and sales with monthly targets to achieve. Due to my competency with sales, I exceeded expectations and received rewards in the form of activity days and bonuses. Other aspects of the job included; monitoring car service records, generating corporate sales leads, dealing with customer queries and complaints and training other staff.

I worked for the University alongside my degree in a job I loved. Initially, I was required to call colleges and sixth form centres to arrange sessions when I could go in and speak to the students about Lancaster University. After the meetings were arranged, I was part of the team that devised a presentation about student experiences at Lancaster and then I was able to travel round the country and carry out the talk. It was a fantastic opportunity to gain confidence through speaking in front of large audiences. Another aspect of my role was giving tours around the university to parents and potential students.
