My remit was to lead on the design, delivery and management of best practice resourcing and recruitment activities for legal recruitment within the Firm. This work was a key contributor to the overall people and Firm strategy of being a premier and 'exceptional' in everything we do firm and their aim to be an ‘Employer of Choice'.

This was a complete HR start-up opportunity, reporting directly to the Managing Director and supporting c.40 employees. Covering the full employee lifecycle ensuring all policies and procedures were in line with best practice and current legislation. Advising on HR strategy in line with the business needs, offering advice and guidance, and managing HR Operations on a daily basis.

During my time at TLT I managed a team of 2 resourcing advisors and one administrator who together with myself were responsible for the recruitment of Lawyers, Support Staff and the volume business (Banking & Lender Services Group), both temporary and permanent. I personally took the lead on the recruitment of qualified personnel from Solicitors up to and including Partner level. I reported to the Human Resources Director.I was responsible for delivering a number of important projects including the project management of the implementation of a new external Careers Site which delivered significant savings in agency spend in its first year, as well as the introduction of competency frameworks for Solicitors, which are still in use today.
