Biological Sciences Division. Department of Pediatrics; Sub-specialty hematology, oncology and stem cell transplantation. Participating in research surrounding neuroblastoma and pediatric solid tumors and determining how hypoxic environments make cancer cells more resistant to standard therapies. Using molecular biology instrumentation and analyses of large genomic data, the goal is to identify genes and cellular pathways that render cancer cells more aggressive and to develop therapies that are both cancer and patient-specific in order to minimize risk.

In addition to clerical duties such as mailings and filing, I am responsible for updating a large database of client scores on aptitude tests, which requires knowledge of SPSS Statistical Software. Additionally, while in the process of digitizing test scores I am also responsible for manually finding and sending paper-copy test scores and sending them to the appropriate labs in a timely manner. I aid my colleagues in any other large-project endeavors they pursue within the Research Department.

While becoming familiarized with the expectations of non-profit companies, I was responsible for aiding in tasks throughout the American Medical Association's Annual Meeting. For the remainder of my time at the AMAF, I collaborated with team members in various projects regarding fundraising and medical outreach to underserved communities. I worked on long-term projects that required large data pools of past scholarship and grant recipients to corporate fundraisers,namely large pharmaceutical companies.I also served as a liaison between Board Members and other physicians in the AMA network and aided in revising the social media platform in order to create networking opportunities for past and present scholarship recipients

Administered ABA therapy to clients with Autism and Autism-Spectrum-Related Disorders. Reported to a supervisor and worked as a team, including the child's family to analyze data and adjust treatment plan to maximize the child's success. This job required excellent attention to detail and the ability to be quick-thinking as every therapy session was unique in its own way. I became familiar with the Insurance policies that characterize at-home therapy treatments. I also worked as a liaison between the child's family and my team as I answered any questions the family had about the treatment administered.

I engaged and collaborated with students at Curie High School, the largest Chicago Public School, on strategies to maximize success on the ACT test.I also partnered with fellow team members on successful approaches to test-taking and time management and administered practice tests.

Responsible for over 75 orders per shift. Coordinated pickup and order accuracy while also managing customer service while at the counter.
