On a morning I worked one to one with an Autistic boy which included day to day activities and assessments. I was able to make activities that would support the child which I was working with; they would include characters such as Number Jacks as this was something which helped him keep his focus. Whilst working one to one I was able to get him to participate in a PE session which was a great achievement as this was something he had never done before, this took a number of weeks and some days we didn’t even get to the sports hall. Before I left he was also able to communicate effectively with other class members, say the names of all the animals in the Zoo and make the noises for them.During the afternoon I worked as classroom behavioural support as there was a range of challenging behaviour. Some days this would include one to one support, group activities or listening to children read.
