I am passionate about health, fitness and sport science. This has stemmed from years of participation in team sports and different exercise modalities. My favourite aspect of working in the fitness industry so far is collaborating with others to engage and motivate athletes to reach their goals.This has led me to completing my Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at La Trobe University and my ambition is to become a qualified Physiotherapist. In order to achieve this end goal, I am striving to gain meaningful work experience. As the Carlton VFLW Sport Science Intern I have been able to work within a multidisciplinary team to optimise athletes performance, which has confirmed my desire to work in elite sport. I am frequently engaging with athletes whilst working as a Sports Trainer at North Ringwood Football Club. I consistently remain calm under pressure when first on scene to treat acute injuries on field. My employment as a receptionist at Goodlife Health Clubs allows me to display a high level of customer service to every member who walks through the door, and further develop my interpersonal skills. Whilst working towards completing my Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, I have gained experience in exercise screening, prescription, and assessment of patients. Building rapport with a range of people with different needs is my strength. In my workplaces I take responsibility and initiative when completing tasks and I thrive in team environments. I am hard-working, organised and energetic.Ultimately, I hope to teach and promote physical activity and exercise to those around me. I believe being active leads to a happier and healthier life!
