Championing photography and the creative arts across social, print, digital & broadcast media, Emma Blau has been at the forefront of visual culture her whole life. As a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, award-winning photographic artist with work held in the National Portrait Gallery, London, exhibition curator, gallerist, public speaker, lecturer, vintage clothes collector & singer, Emma believes there is always something memorable to be shared & talked about in the visual world around us, wherever we are. Currently hosting IPTV - a series of conversations with previous recipients of the Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant which is broadcast via Instagram. Featured contributor alongside Susan Sarandon & Isabella Rossellini in the international cinematic release 'Portrait of The Queen' with narration by Charles Dance. Directed by celebrated photographer Fabrizio Ferri & based on the novel ‘Elizabeth II. Portrait of a Queen” by Paola Calvetti, it was originally released in cinemas across the USA, UK & Europe and is now available on Amazon Prime.One of the exhibiting artists in '209 women', an artist-led initiative which champions the visibility of women; marking 100 years of women achieving the vote the project featured 209 new portraits of all women MPs, by women photographers. It was on display in the Houses of Parliament & then moved to The Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool where her portrait of Luciana Berger MP was displayed large-scale on the outside walls of the gallery. Emma's portrait of Lucina is now held in the Parliamentary Art Collection, UK.Director & producer of the documentary "Camera Press at 70 : A Lifetime In Pictures" made to celebrate the agency's platinum anniversary in 2017.Conceived & produced #FaceForward, a public art exhibition featuring Emma's photographic portraits of people from Church Street Ward, a residential neighbourhood in Westminster which is undergoing regeneration. This project was part of Photo London's & The London Festival of Architecture's Public Programme the year it was installed.Celebrated fashion & portrait photographer published across multiple titles including British Vogue, The Sunday Times magazine & Wallpaper* magazine.Other notable projects have included publishing 'Paparazzo' with Roads Publishing and 'Queen Elizabeth II : A Photographic Portrait' with Thames and Hudson, curating exhibitions & chairing panel discussions on photography at The Ivy Club in London & featuring in the television documentary 'The Changing Face of The Queen.'
