Responsible for strategic program development, international climate campaigns, fostering multi-stakeholder collaborations, and approaches that support young climate leaders in Europe and beyond. Part of the Oxfam in Europe initiative working with young climate leaders to co-develop a Climate Justice influencing and mobilization program.

Spark ClimAct was a pan-European program developing young people's awareness, skills, and engagement in initiatives to address climate change and climate justice.It was the largest Oxfam-wide climate justice program in Europe and mobilized over 3.3 million people, trained over 80,000 and raised awareness of climate issues to over 72 million people.I worked with 20 NGO and CSO partners across Europe to coordinate the strategic development and delivery of joint program initiatives including campaigns towards COPs 26/27/28/29. I took a lead coordination role in key initiatives such as ‘The Ticket to the Future’ - a knowledge and networking event with 130 young climate activists from 30 countries in the global south and north. I developed and operationalized the program communications strategy, products, branding, narrative and key messaging. I also developed and delivered donor and stakeholder communications and engagement products and processes, including annual reports and newsletters.

Founded in 2014, Fair Finance International is an independent worldwide civil society network of over 70 CSOs working to shift financial institutions away from harmful investments contributing to climate change, biodiversity loss and human rights abuses.As communications lead I devised and implemented the FFI communications and engagement strategy in coordination with the network, developing and leading FFI communications and campaign deliverables, supporting key fundraising and influencing strategies, developing communications content, and overseeing the growth of social media channels and the website. I coordinated consortium-wide communication and influencing work, refreshed the branding, website and messaging of FFI, and coordinated reports to the donor and public.

Engineers Without Borders Australia mobilizes engineering expertise to increase access to essential services and infrastructure in Australia and Asia Pacific, with a particular focus on sanitation, shelter, clean energy, and professional skills development for young people. Leading the communications portfolio, I undertook a professionalization of the organization’s communications efforts including the development of strategies to profile our international development programs in Cambodia, Timor Leste and Vanuatu. I shifted the focus of our communications towards the stories of those we work with and work for. These standards, and the overall portrayal of our development work in communities was ‘highly commended’ as best practice by the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID)I also produced two annual reports, commissioned several videos and photography assignments, produced and managed all social media, and undertook several field trips to gather and develop story content through interviews, short videos and photography.

As Global Communications Adviser for the Agriculture sector, I steered communication activities for SNV's largest and most complex sector. Encompassing 60% of SNV's work in 30+ countries, it specializes in building capacity and equality of opportunity in poor and developing economies. From sustainable production to climate adaptation, I communicated technical concepts through online stories, graphics, video and marketing materials. I was closely involved with an extensive sector re-branding process which required me to develop new product marketing plans and brochures to communicate new services to field staff and donors alike. My ongoing strategic activities included: producing monthly newsletters; growing online engagement including boosting x10 our Twitter following; joining campaigns such Devex's #YouthWill; stimulating media coverage such as a BBC report on a SNV climate adaptation project subsequently picked up by several news-wires; and placing articles on development platforms including one named 3rd in '9 stories of innovative impact 2015' by New Global Citizen. I commissioned of a suite of stunning videos made by BrandOutLoud, showcasing flagship projects. 3 of these were category finalists for 'Impact video: Innovation' at the Social Impact Media Awards. By leading the coordination, coverage and engagement for SNV events at international conferences such as European Development Days, Adaptation Futures, and COP21 Paris, and COP22 Marrakesh, I successfully boosted our collaboration and profile with institutional and philanthropic partners and donors.To foster internal knowledge transfer I also supported the development of a Sharepoint portal. I am certified in Shipley Proposal Writing.

My role was to provide consultancy services to international & interstate employees as part of the relocation package provided by Crown on behalf of employers. This was a freelance role in a pressured property market and required initiative, drive and the ability to work across cultural and language barriers. I worked independently with over 50 corporate clients on the following: sourcing housing; negotiating with real estate agents; screening leases; providing documentation to the parent company; property assessments for lease commencement, and bond refunds; Advice on local services and networking. May 2010 - relocated to the Netherlands.

I managed the HR service to 80 staff at the Schlumberger Oil & Gas support center for EMEA and USA, with responsibility for payroll, recruitment, employee services, and talent & succession management. A demanding, responsible position, I supervised 2 Recruitment & HR staff, and was rated as 'Exceeding Expectations' and promoted whilst in this post. Responsibilities & results included: coordinating internal communications; recruitment and recruitment policy; succession planning and training; advising on and conducting disciplinary, capability and grievance procedures; co-ordination of staff pension scheme for which I was company trustee; supervision of SAP HR system and monthly payroll; when strategic business changes required 16 staff redundancies, I avoided involuntary action and ensured all personnel & legal responsibilities were met within a strict time-frame. November 2004 - relocated to Australia

Formerly MCOS before RPS acquisition, this firm of Consulting Engineers expanded three fold in three years to employ over 380 professional staff in offices based in Cork, Dublin and Galway. This was a fast paced HR role in an organisation that was rapidly expanding but which had no formal HR policies or systems when I joined. As HR Officer, I developed a HR policy manual, and HR information section on the staff intranet and set up Access and Excel databases for staff records. I also had responsibility for coordinating a busy recruitment portfolio, and was involved with the recruitment of over 200 Civil & Gas engineering and technical staff for various national projects.

In addition to my full-time role with RPS, I lectured twice a week with the CIT Department of Adult & Continuing Education for the NCEA Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development first year course of the Graduate Diploma in Personnel. This was a great opportunity to transfer my industry knowledge. Responsibilities included: researching & presenting all lectures to 90 students in HR Management over a full academic year; setting and correcting multiple assessments and final year exams; CIT/CIPD internal representative on the Exam Results Review Board.

This was a graduate role in an Alzheimer care unit to source & co-ordinate information to support staff in improving services. I was involved in the design of a new therapy unit, developed a carer information pack and co-wrote a successful funding proposal.

I volunteered with the student radio station when it first opened, and enjoyed it so much that I worked there as a broadcaster for several years. This was the true genesis of my future communications career! I presented and produced a weekly Arts & Music programme for which I interviewed many writers & media personalities. In addition, I wrote and produced several radio documentaries on historical topics and social issues.
