After some years of being out in the job market I decided to return to graduate school to further my education in a field I never knew I would love. Throughout the various experiences I have had, the choice to pursue a degree in counseling and college student personnel further solidified this decision. During my undergraduate years I told myself I wanted to be a “Youth Development Specialist,” not knowing where I ever came up with that title. Today, higher education has provided a clear purpose and reignited that passion I once had of becoming a Youth Development Specialist. Helping others find their own purpose, believe in their own strengths, and fight for their dreams has become my inspiration.
