As the Growth Strategy Manager, I focus on developing and facilitating programs for youth events across the country along with additional targeted key growth strategies and tactics across USA Triathlon’s constituent groups, individuals and organizations that support the triathlon/multisport community.

The USA Triathlon Growth Coordinator plays an integral role in ensuring the organization’s mission to grow and serve the sport, with a focus on the multisport core community – including Race Directors and Event Production Companies, Coaches, Officials, Clubs. Responsible for successfully implementing growth strategies and tactics across USAT’s constituent groups, the Growth Coordinator will proactively lead outbound outreach to inform constituents on the value of USA Triathlon with the goal of acquiring them.- Proactively led outbound growth efforts to win back and acquire core constituent groups- Met outbound call and conversion performance metrics weekly- Implemented a comprehensive outreach, engagement and follow up communications plan- Developed comprehensive plans, including impact analysis, on new ways to incentivize constituent growth- Worked within the Business Operations department and across the Marketing and Communications, and Constituent Engagement departments to solicit feedback and collaborate on new growth strategies, tactics, and resources- Proactively led implementing all growth strategies, tactics and resources- Led market analysis to identify new growth leads and opportunities for customer acquisition - Managed strategic partnerships that support growth objectives

As the Programming and Special Events Student Employee, I helped coordinated large scale events for the Honors College and EC Scholars Program including donor events and out of state service-learning trips. Through this job, I am able to assist the Honors College in recruiting a new, dynamic freshmen class each year while also cultivating a positive community experience for all students in the Honors College.

Eliminating Barriers to Youth Sports in Pitt County Research Study • Conducting a research study to identify the barriers to youth athletics for low-income families in the Pitt County area by interviewing 20 parents in the Greenville Community that are either part of the Greenville Recreation and Parks Financial Assistance Program or hope to apply for financial assistance in the future. • Common barriers identified: Costs to participate, transportation, lack of equipment, ineffective marketing & communication strategies, lack of parental buy-in & lack of knowledge of programs offered.• By better understanding the barriers to participation and creating a formalized plan, more effort and resources can be used to counteract some of the specific barriers identified.•This data is now being used to develop an in-depth case study to advance knowledge and help inform future sport policy. Although sport scholars understand youth sport participation is tremendously declining, it is difficult to pinpoint the exact reasons why and highlight solutions. This research can help ensure more diversity in our youth sports while simultaneously promote opportunities for more youth to benefit from the well-documented benefits of sports and physical activity.

Conducts intern responsibilities with 9 NGB departments to gain a wide spectrum of experience.Departments Include: Sport Development, High Performance, Membership & Regions, Marketing & Communications, Finance, USA Triathlon Foundation, National Office, National Events & Event Services. Assisted in planning and executing National Triathlon Events, communicated with Athletic Directors and Senior Women Administrators across the country about the emerging NCAA sport of Women's Triathlon, designed and wrote content for USA Triathlon Foundation's new website, edited magazine editorials and articles, collected and analyzed marketing statistics for Corporate Partners.

As an intern at Greenville Recreation & Parks, I am able to interact with numerous recreation leaders in the Pitt County area. Currently, I am working on developing a Non-Profit organization within the Recreation & Parks that will raise monetary donations to fund scholarships for low-income families in the community to participate in youth sports teams. This position also allows me to learn the administrative tasks of a Recreation & Parks department and have a voice in high-level management meetings.
