During my temporary position, I undertook more responsibility and became deputy to the Web Content and Social Media Manager. The responsibility of this task allows me to use my initiative and make decisions when required or escalate through to other management if there is an urgent situation. I successfully applied for a permanent position where I continued the roles and responsibilities of my previous role, in addition to the following:Undertaking a project for 'Virtual Open Day's' and 360 tours. This involves organising demonstrations with platform providers and to discuss the objectives of multiple stakeholders (Marketing, Postgraduate Recruitment and International) with external suppliers. Leading conference calls with our CMS suppliers for updates about website bugs and functionality development.Supporting the Head of Digital and Web Content and Social Media Manager to develop an interim development roadmap, and to update the course upload procedure and template.Training new members of staff and wider university web editorsLeading on projects including the new course template upload, which included liaising with the legal department, an external copywriter and stakeholders from Faculties. I had to delegate work and responsibilities to other members of the team.

Designed the layout of the new Faculty webpages using the EPiServer CMS, including basic knowledge of HTML and sourcing imagery, alongside creating and proofreading content.Main point of contact within the Digital Team for maintaining and updating content for the Faculties.Manage the redirect module within the CMS.Experience using Eventsforce and Stackla. Liaising with key stakeholders on a day-to-day basis including Faculty Deanery, academics, Faculty marketing teams.Running creative sessions for internal stakeholders, which created a platform to share competitor research, discuss content requirements and showcase the new website structure. Encourage ownership and responsibility of webpages, in order to produce dynamic and interesting content with central marketing control, while keeping in line with the University’s corporate plan.Create content strategy alongside the Web Content and Social Media Manager.Ability to work across teams to source new photography, multimedia and content.Organised photography sessions on campus alongside the artistic director and an external photographer to achieve high quality imagery with a student focus. Create scripts and organise filming for ‘Welcome to the Faculty’ videos, which will have an important presence on the Faculty landing pages. This will enable us to have 60-90 second video content that is available to shared across social media platforms and be embedded across the website to promote the Faculties. Conducted a content audit for University microsites and created a report skills using web tools such as Google Analytics. Regularly contribute material which is utilised on the student blog, UnCOVered. This process includes being a part of regular creative content sessions and content planning for social media.
