• Key contributions:
• Led partnerships with laboratories in 20+ countries managing projects and addressing day-to-day challenges of implementing genomic analysis and interpretation
• Developed and taught diverse course syllabuses focussed on using Terra.bio for analysis of bacterial and viral genomes and metagenomes, training over 100 students globally to confidently undertake genomic analyses.
• Designed bioinformatics workflows for genomic data analysis on the Terra.bio platform, broadening access to analysis of a wide range of pathogens and phylogenetics approaches
• Contributed to developing the company's initial systems and further growth, including project management, client acquisition, and founding the spin-out charity, Theiagen Global Health Initiative.

• Designed studies and developed wet-lab protocols for complex hospital surveillance studies in China
• Lead bioinformatic analysis of pathogen genomes with a diverse international team of scientists and clinicians, including providing group server administration, project management, bioinformatics analysis of WGS data.
• Provided command-line bioinformatics teaching and support in China, India and the UK
• Communicated work in publications, reports, and oral and poster presentations

Seconded to the UK Biocentre to help establish a large-scale COVID-19 national testing laboratory from scratch; worked on all stages of the test procedure

• Undertook project planning, sample selection, wet-lab genome sequencing, and bioinformatic analysis for a One Health genomic epidemiology study in collaboration with researchers in Brazil
• Co-wrote grant application for the continuation of the project which was successfully funded by BBSRC and FAPESP

• Developed DNA extraction methods to detect and characterise tuberculosis directly from sputum using metagenomic sequencing
• Sequenced and analysed *M. tuberculosis* genomes to understand the strain diversity, outbreaks and transmission of the disease
• Collaborated with researchers in The Gambia, Peru and Palestine; spent 1 year working at MRC Unit, The Gambia

• Undertook laboratory adaptive evolution of Campylobacter jejuni, whole-genome sequencing and analysis and electron microscopy to understand the genotype-phenotype relationship of flhF, a flagellar protein

• Organised the institute's inaugural symposium, seminar series and administrative taks.

• Undertook 16S rRNA sequencing of the faecal microbiome from dogs as part of a commercial collaboration
