With over 8 years experience in the Hospital Pharmacy Sector, 16 months working as a Product Manager for a major Digital Health Systems Provider, and 16 months learning wildly new and different skills in volunteer roles while travelling Central America, I’m ready and eager to jump back into the game with an opportunity help to grow a business, team, and/or product with my vast professional experience and a fresh, new perspective. I am from a UK background but relocating to the States for this next chapter of my life. I feel my comprehensive experience in the NHS and with UK-based clinical software brings a unique knowledge-base to the US market. Please read on for more information on my experience, and of course do not hesitate to get in contact if you feel I can be of benefit to your team!I trained as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician and quickly specialised in EPMA and Pharmacy IT Systems, going on to manage a system and team across three major hospital sites. In that time, we succeeded well past the required digital-healthcare standards for UK Hospital care, and led new and technically pioneering projects alongside the Healthcare System Provider to innovate our use of technology; transforming the workflow for all clinical staff and significantly improving our level of patient care.In August 2021, I branched out from the NHS to lead as Product Manager for the Hospital Pharmacy System at EMIS Health. I focused on enhancing the workflow, team, and development structure of our product, leading more effective cross-team working and implementing new Agile processes. In addition, I lead the release of new technology - the system's first FHIR interface - and was simultaneously Project Manager for a full system redevelopment project to rewrite our software with sophisticated & future-proofed technology, alongside the maintenance of the existing product. In January 2023, I stepped away from my career to focus on a life-long dream of exploring the world. Since then, I have travelled in South and Central America, working in volunteering projects and gaining skills like building eco-houses in the Costa Rican jungle. This opportunity has served me in a way that not many people are able to experience; the chance to learn from incredible people in entirely different walks of life, to understand the natural and human world from entirely new perspectives, to grow skills in rare opportunities, and to broaden and enrich my own interpretation of wealth, success, innovation, ability. I am humbled and invigorated by this opportunity, as I step toward this next chapter.
