Developing the design intent into working drawings & being the main point of contact for the contractor on site. This involved being self motivated and confident to work independently while still having a team approach to collaborative thinking. The project sectors ranged from office, hospitality, student accommodation & residential.

I got to work on medium-large scale office projects developing tender and construction sets, working on interior presentations and 3D models.

I gained experience in the commercial end of design. In my three month experience in Tilestyle I shadowed sales executives gaining an inside knowledge of the products and finding out what a client wants and how to manage the cost and taste of a client to find them what they want.

• I worked alongside the interior designer and architects on projects. I assisted insite visits, interior schemes, drafting plans, presenting projects for clients.• I worked on interior schemes involved spatial planning/design, choosing furnitureand materials.• I worked on different projects such as Highfield Hospital for Alzheimer’s and Dementia which was at its final stages and Facebook offices, canteen from the beginning stages.I gained an invaluable insight into how a professional design office is run from start of a project to completion, from dealing with the different wants and needs of clients and trying to adapt designs to meet the changing of briefs to a project. I also found I gained a good perspective into how architects, interior designers, builders and engineers work alongside each other.
