As a clinical research assistant at Boston Children's Hospital, I am directly involved in the oversight of multiple studies. I've had the opportunity to work extensively with rare disease populations, including individuals diagnosed with Fibrous Dysplasia/McCune-Albright Syndrome, Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva, ADSSL1 myopathy, Niemann-Pick Type C disease, infantile- and late-Onset Pompe disease, and childhood-onset Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. In each of these studies, I am responsible for submitting protocols, amendments, and continuing reviews to the IRB, identifying, consenting, and enrolling participants, and overseeing in-person study visit procedures. These procedures vary based on the specific aims of each study and can include the administration/scoring of cognitive and muscular assessments and clinical questionnaires, the collection of imaging data via multiple modalities (fNIRS, MRI [brain and musculoskeletal], and PET/CT), and implementing electrical impulse myography to assess muscle health. In addition to collecting this data, I am also responsible for data management, analysis, and presentation. I'm comfortable using several different statistical analysis software packages, including SPSS, STATA, MATLAB, RStudio, and Excel, and have experience with a variety of MRI analysis programs (FSL/Freesurfer, Conn, 3D Slicer, and MRTrix). I also have the opportunity to be heavily involved in scientific writing in my lab; I've assisted with writing grants and protocols, have written multiple consent and assent forms, and have authored/co-authored several manuscripts.

In my role as a research assistant at McLean Hospital, I oversee recruitment, consent, in-person study procedures, and data analysis for an investigation into hypoalgesia in individuals with schizophrenia and bipolar type I disorder. In addition to collecting and analyzing neuroimaging data, I also independently conduct the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 (SCID) in order to establish correct psychiatric diagnoses and administer/score the MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery (MCCB). I also frequently utilize thermosensory stimulation to assess pain detection, threshold, and tolerances in study participants.

Led a team of 10 other instructors in creating and executing lesson plans for rowers of all age groups and skill levels. Responsible for ensuring the safety of all students both on and off the water, as well as maintenance of wharf and racing shells.

Managed the hostess staff, responsible for communicating shift plans to managers, wait staff, and kitchen staff. Responsible for controlling the seating flow of the restaurant. Acted as the primary trainer for incoming staff.

Interned in the Beroukhim Lab in the Cancer Program under Dr. Pratiti Bandopadhayay to examine patterns of mutations and chromosomal rearrangements in breast carcinoma and the pediatric brain tumor DIPG. Research conducted on breast carcinoma validated the existence of chromosomal rearrangements as predicted by the bioinformatics program Snowman. Additional research conducted on DIPG involved identification and linkage of mutations and rearrangements in tumor genes linked to altered protein function.
